Easter Sensory Fun

This week I created a Easter sensory box for Poppy Cat.  I used colored rice, pom poms for cotton tails, colorful buttons, and Easter eggs.  Poppy Cat loves sensory boxes.

The wonderful thing about sensory boxes is that you can add anything too them based on what you have on hand.

To make the colored rice you will need Ziploc bags, rice, food coloring, and rubbing alcohol.  Add some rice to the Ziploc bag.  Then place around 7 drops of food coloring in the bag with the rice.  Finally, add about a teaspoon of rubbing alcohol to the bag.  Seal the bag.  Shake until well combined and then pour onto a paper plate to dry.  That's it!  It is very simple and the little ones can help make the rice.

Have a great weekend!
