Summer Reading Book Review: 100 Days of Real Food

Book Review:  100 Days of Real Food
In light of all the recent news about new GMO products from potatoes to apples, my family and I decided we needed to change our diet.  In searching for a way to do this I ran across Lisa Leake's book 100 Days of Real Food.  I read it from cover to cover and was shocked by all the ways that we needed to improve our diets.  I created a shopping list and we started out on this real food adventure.

To my surprise the recipes in Lisa's Book were actually really good. My family and I noticed that after trying out a few of the recipes we felt full faster and were satisfied until the next meal.  Over several weeks we noticed that our clothes were a little more roomy and we actually felt better.

Some of favorite recipes in the book are Everyday Whole-Wheat Bread, Homemade Tomato Sauce, Slow Cooker Potato Soup, and Homemade Granola Cereal.  I have tried for years to make fresh sandwich bread and I has so happy when I succeeded using Lisa'a cookbook.

If pesticides and GMO's have you concerned 100 Days of Real Food is a great tool to help you eat cleaner foods.

Lisa has a website with lots of recipes listed there as well. Stop by and pay her a visit and let her know Mama Says Dance in the Rain sent you.

Blessings,
Bridget
