Move Over Dairy - Cashew Ranch is Here

March 13, 2019 0 Comments
Cashews are amazing, and they do a great job in making things creamy. My kids are dippers. No dip in our house is not a option.

Today, I want to share my dairy free ranch recipe that is great as a dip, salad dressing, or spread on a sandwich. My kids love when I mix it with chicken to make chicken salad and serve it on a wrap.

Cashew Ranch

Ingredients Needed

1 1/2 cups of raw cashews
3/4 cup of water
2 tbsp + 2 tsp lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dill

Tools Needed

high speed blender

Instructions

Pour boiling water over 1 1/2 cups of raw cashews. Allow it to set for at least 10 minutes or overnight if desired (if I allow them to sit overnight I refrigerate them).

Drain cashews and add the remaining ingredients to a high speed blender. I use the Vitamix which blends beautifully. Blend until smooth. Transfer to a small container and refrigerate.

Serve and enjoy!

If you tried my recipe, please share your thoughts or if you have a recipe you would like to share please comment below. I love hearing from you!

Welcome Back to Mama Says Dance in the Rain!

June 01, 2017 0 Comments
Welcome to Mama Says Dance in the Rain!  You may be wondering what the significance is in the name Mama Says Dance in the Rain. I'll start by sharing my story. We all experience moments in our day when things just don't go as planned. Well, as a result of several of those moments, trials, and questioning why is this happening; my sweet Jesus is teaching me. I have come to realize that those moments refine who I am, they develop character, and grow my faith.  Jesus is teaching me to be content. The Bible says in Philippians 4:11, "I have learned in whatsoever state I am in therewith to be content." God wants us to be undisturbed by what is going on around us until he brings change. Therefore, I choose to Dance in the Rain! I hope you will join me on this journey and I hope we will grow in sharing what makes our lives great!

Blessings!

Welcome

Welcome to Mama Says Dance in the Rain!

Okay, here is the story behind Mama Says Dance in the Rain.  I was surfing through Pinterest one day and came across this quote.

The day I read that quote, I felt a strong conviction that God wanted me to enjoy the moment no matter what I was facing.  We all have our own mountains to climb.  We can either enjoy the challenge, or complain all the way up.  I decided at that moment, that I would try harder to be content and try to raise my children to be content.  I need a constant reminder and God's strength to stay on track everyday.  Therefore, I decided to title my blog "Mama Says Dance in the Rain."  You will find a nice mix of things here, from inspirational, raising kids, homeschooling, crafting, and just plain enjoying life.

I hope you will follow along with me on this journey!

Many Blessings!
Bridget
